WOMAN FOUND DEAD IN GITHURAI

 


The body of a young woman was found by police officers in a Githurai apartment at 6:30pm on the 20th of November. The young lady, who was later identified as Agnes Atieno, was found on the living room floor of her 2 bedroom apartment with a pool of blood around her and a hammer next to her injured head.

The officers arrived after receiving a call from Atieno's neighbours who said they hadn't seen her in 2 weeks which was suspicious. They also complained about the stench coming from her house and said that's what made the alarm bells start ringing.

Currently, the number one suspect is Atieno's husband who the neighbours described as abusive. The police spokesman, John Kyalo, said that an investigation is underway and that there's a massive manhunt for Atieno's husband Peter Kipchoge.

A young hawker who was selling ground nuts had a meeting with Nairobi governor Johnson Sakaja after a video of him crying went viral on twitter. Arthur Mwangi, the 18-year-old hawker, had his bucket of groundnuts slapped to the ground by city council officers, subsequently spilling all the groundnuts on the road and with that his salary for the day vanished into thin air.  Governor Sakaja met Arthur Mwangi at his office in City Hall and assured him that such malarkey would never happen to him again. He promised to fire the officers who were in charge of pouring Arthur's groundnuts as a show of faith to him.
