CRYING HAWKER MEETS GOVERNOR
A young hawker who was selling ground nuts had a meeting with Nairobi governor Johnson Sakaja after a video of him crying went viral on twitter. Arthur Mwangi, the 18-year-old hawker, had his bucket of groundnuts slapped to the ground by city council officers, subsequently spilling all the groundnuts on the road and with that his salary for the day vanished into thin air.
Governor Sakaja met Arthur Mwangi at his office in City Hall and assured him that such malarkey would never happen to him again. He promised to fire the officers who were in charge of pouring Arthur's groundnuts as a show of faith to him. He also gave Arthur 5,000 Kenyan shillings for his troubles which is more than Arthur was scheduled to make on that day.
Below is a video showcasing what happened.
